SaySo — Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using SaySo (the "Service") at sayso.so, including joining or running a Session, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. What SaySo is

SaySo is a live, no-stakes prediction competition that runs alongside a creator's stream, show, or event. A creator ("Host") sets a question, participants commit virtual points to outcomes, the displayed odds shift as participation grows, the Host resolves the outcome, and a leaderboard ranks participants. SaySo is a game of entertainment and skill. It is not a gambling, betting, wagering, or real-money gaming service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 to be eligible for any funded prize. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian supervision. You must not be barred from using the Service under applicable law.

4. Accounts

  • Account creation and authentication are handled through our login provider. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see Section 11).

5. Virtual points — no monetary value

  • Points, balances, odds, and leaderboard standings within the Service are virtual items for gameplay only.
  • Virtual points have no monetary or real-world value, are not a currency, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged for money or anything of value, and confer no ownership rights.
  • We may grant, adjust, reset, or revoke virtual points at any time, including at the start of each Session.

6. Prizes and sponsored sessions

  • Some Sessions may offer prizes funded by SaySo, a Host, or a sponsor. Prizes, where offered, are promotional and are governed by the specific official rules disclosed for that Session.
  • Eligibility for prizes may be limited, is void where prohibited, and may require verification. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes. Participation in a Session is never a purchase and no purchase is necessary.
  • SaySo is not responsible for prizes provided by third parties (e.g., a sponsor or Host) except as stated in the applicable Session rules.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, manipulate outcomes, exploit bugs, or use bots/automation except as expressly permitted;
  • Use the Service for unlawful gambling, money transmission, or any illegal activity;
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users, or post unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
  • Interfere with, disrupt, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service;
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

8. Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for the questions they create and the outcomes they resolve, for resolving Sessions in good faith, and for complying with applicable law and the terms of any platform on which they operate (e.g., Twitch, YouTube, Kick). SaySo does not control or guarantee Host conduct.

9. User content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., questions, display name, messages). You grant SaySo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have the rights to submit it.

10. Third-party services and platforms

The Service integrates with or runs alongside third-party platforms and services (e.g., Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and our authentication and analytics providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their terms. SaySo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch, YouTube, Kick, or any platform unless expressly stated.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAYSO AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SaySo and its affiliates from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be reflected by posting the updated Terms here. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
